Grace and I spent last weekend in Miami and Naples, FL visiting my great-aunt Gladys, the eldest member of the Lovrien clan, who will turn 96 next month.  She became the eldest earlier this year when her sister passed away at 101.  I sure hope I got some of them good genes!

Oh Wait… I Have A Quarter!

Torture a teen today!  More and more kids working in shops and fast food places simply can’t make change without mechanical help.  Poor dears.  I’m doing my little bit to help; won’t you?  When I’m at the counter paying cash I like to hand over my bill, pause just long enough for the cashier to punch it into the register, then say, “Oh wait… I have a quarter!”  Then the fun begins.

Why I started a music publishing company

I started my own music publishing company, Lovebird Music, in February.  I suppose did it for the same reasons as most folks who start their own business:

  • I was frustrated at how other companies were doing it
  • I saw an opportunity to do it differently and better
  • I thought I could do a great job and hopefully make some money
